Report on Last Year's Annual Meeting

The 2011 Access Energy Cooperative annual meeting attendance was down a little due to the immense heat and humidity. But those attending were able to enjoy country music entertainment by Jared Harness and Blackgrass and a great supper of steak and chicken sandwiches, with hot dogs for the kids, prepared by HyVee of Mt. Pleasant, and homemade ice cream prepared by the Lyons Club of Kahoka Missouri.
 
Kids enjoyed pony rides, Drive A Tractor rides, inflatable rides, snow cones, and live wire safety demonstrations. Big kids picked up their dividend checks and were welcomed to their annual meeting by Kiley Miller, Mt. Pleasant Chamber Alliance Chamber Executive, and learned information at the business meeting about climate change legislation and how it is affecting your rates, as well as reports on last year’s business. All incumbents were reelected for a term of three years. 
 
Members also had a chance to stop by a variety of booths to get information on green energy, energy efficient heating and cooling options, our energy efficiency rebate program, our new website and newsletter and  renewable energy.
 
Thank you members who came out for the evening! We hope you had a great time! And thank you to all of those who helped to make the 2011 a success!
