IVR System for Answering Outage Calls
After normal business hours, you will reach our dispatch service from Northeast Power if you call our emergency number. In the event of a large outage involving a high volume of calls coming in, you may reach our Interactive Voice Response or IVR system. This system can handle a much higher volume of calls, than a single person, so it will be able to take your calls much quicker and enter them into our system.
If your call is answered by the IVR System, please provide the information as completely as possible. Your information will be automatically entered into our outage system. This will help our service men to detect possible outage causes and restore service quicker.
As a reminder, the IVR system uses phone numbers to identify your service location. Please keep your home phone and cell phone numbers up to date with our office. It will help our personnel and the new system to restore your power quicker should you experience an interruption.
