2010 Poster Contest Winners
Six students from southeast Iowa were chosen as Access Energy Cooperative Poster Contest winners. These students will receive a $50 savings bond from Access Energy. Their posters have now been submitted to the state-wide Iowa Energy Poster Contest for a chance to win a trophy along with a $100 savings bond at the state contest. Posters winning at the state level will be mounted on the Traveling Energy Art Gallery and displayed at events throughout the state.
The poster contest focused on two themes: energy conservation/efficiency and renewable sources of energy such as wind, biomass and solar. The contest was designed to enhance education of Iowa students regarding these very important issues to Iowa.
Receiving $50 Savings Bonds as winners of the Cooperative-sponsored contest were:
• Third Grade: Madlen Dodova and Allyson Reynolds, Central Lee Elementary.
• Fourth Grade: Cole Moeller, Holy Trinity and Hollie Nelson, Lincoln Elementary in Fairfield.
• Fifth Grade: Makayla Kruse, Salem Elementary and Rachel Funkhouser, Pence Elementary in Fairfield.

Congratulations to the winners of the 2010 Iowa Energy Poster Contest! Six winners received a $50 savings bond from Access Energy Cooperative and their entries were forwarded to the state contest. At the state level
Makayla Kruse was presented a $100 savings bond and received an award certificate.
