Board Discusses Future With Members
Access Energy Cooperative Board and management recently met with members from across the service territory to exchange information and hear members’ views on cooperative practices and future endeavors.
Access Energy is a cooperatively formed business, meaning each member is a part-owner. It is vital to the board, management and employees to know what our members think about their coop.
A primary discussion at this year’s meetings was the wholesale power cost increase the cooperative incurred April 1st, due to the need for a new power plant and increased costs from pollution control regulations. Discussion was held on what impact this will have on the rates of Access Energy Cooperative members.
Discussion was also held on energy efficiency programs at the cooperative and things we can do to assist members with cutting back on their energy usage.
