Access Energy Begins Construction of New Building

Although rains in June hampered crews, construction is progressing on the new Access Energy Cooperative facility at 1800 West Washington in Mt. Pleasant.
 Much of the grading has been completed. The storm water retention basin is completed and has been full of water several times due to recent rains. The grading has also been completed for the office building and the new street off of West Washington.
 Barton Construction is in the process of pouring the concrete for the foundation footers and Shipley’s Construction is pouring the concrete for the new street. Once the street is completed, they plan to pour the north parking lot and the drive off of West Washington.
