Conference On Energy Efficiency

Access Energy Cooperative will join other electric cooperatives in Iowa to sponsor the annual Momentum is Building conference February 11­–12, 2010, at the Sheraton West Des Moines Hotel. The event is also sponsored in part by the Iowa Energy Center.

Momentum is Building offers up-to-date building science information, exhibits of new technologies and equipment from trades professionals, and concurrent sessions covering a wide range of HVAC building and energy efficiency topics. Electricians attending the conference can qualify for three CEUs (Continuing Education Unit) if they attend both sessions taught by Larry Smith, National Electric Seminars instructor from Omaha, Nebraska.

This year’s keynote speaker is Charlie Wittmack, the first Iowan to reach the peak of Mount Everest. Wittmack’s presentation will inspire attendees to tackle their own challenges, both personal and professional.
