Starting March 1, Iowa residents may be eligible for a new appliance rebate to replace existing appliances. The goal of this program is to stimulate the economy by encouraging consumers to replace old appliances with new energy efficient models by recycling.
There will be 9,000 vouchers available to those who apply on a first-come-first-serve basis. Residents may apply for one appliance type per household. Those who receive a validation code will have 30 days to purchase their appliance, complete the required application and return. If all vouchers are not accounted for within 30 days, individuals who are on the waiting list will be notified to proceed in purchasing their appliance. Fund availabiltiy can be checked by visiting www.iowaappliancerebate.com or by calling 1-877-267-7495.
