Salem Elementary Has A State Poster Contest Winner

Fifth grader Makayla Kruse of Salem Elementary has been selected as a winner in the Iowa Energy Poster Contest at the state level where she won a $100 savings bond. She was one of the six winners in the local Access Energy Cooperative contest whose posters were forwarded to the state competition. 
 
The poster contest focused on two themes: energy efficiency and renewable energy and was designed to enhance education of Iowa students regarding these very important issues to Iowa.
 
Makayla’s winning poster will be mounted on the traveling Energy Art Gallery and used for energy education activities throughout the state, which may be available at our annual meeting for members to see on August 3rd.
