REC Day on the Hill

March 17th was a busy day on Capitol Hill in Des Moines.  Access Energy Cooperative joined cooperatives from across the state in visiting with legislators on issues concerning the electric industry.Some topics discussed included green or renewable energy, greenhouse gas emissions, what coops are doing for energy efficiency and safety education, and how proposed legislation could have a serious impact on consumers’ energy bills back home.
 
Senator Eugene Fraise had a moment to talk with Bob Ruby, Serviceman Technician at Access Energy Cooperative about his role in safety at Access Energy Cooperative. Also attending from your cooperative were Directors Don Atwood and Dwight Krebill, Director of Marketing and Communications Kim Brumbaugh, Director of Finance and Information Systems Vernon Mitchell, and Energy Advisors Alan Raymer and Gary Stevens.
