Don’t Run Out of Gas

When we monitor your propane levels we also set you up on a scheduled delivery, where we estimate how much gas you will use during certain times of the year. If you happen to run out of gas, we are required to perform a test for leakage on the gas system prior to returning the system to operation. The State of Iowa has adopted the National Fire Protection Association’s requirements regarding
out-of-gas situations which mandate the leak checks. A leak check can take some time to complete and the customer is required to be present. There is a fee of $75.00 to perform the test for those who are not on scheduled deliveries.
